Festival of Love, one of the most anticipated events scheduled for 11 February to celebrate this year’s St. Valentine’s Day in Abuja, has been shifted to Lagos.

Speaking on the change of the host city, ace comedian Julius Agwu said the current unpredictable state of security in the northern part of the country necessitated the change.

“Our plan is to host the show in Abuja since we held the debut edition in the same city last year. But the current security situation in the north has compelled us to shift the show to a safer environment. Lagos appears more favoured for this year’s show and we think people resident in Lagos too should also enjoy the show,” Agwu explained.

The Festival of Love, an evening of romantic love songs, couples’ games and great comedy for lovers will now come up on 12 February at the Muson Centre, Onikan, Lagos. Couples resident in Lagos will have the opportunity to celebrate their valentine in an atmosphere of love in what has been described as a classy romantic evening.

As earlier planned, the show will still feature great acts like 2face Idibia, elDee Da Don, Timi Dakolo, J’odie, W4, among others. Top comic acts including Osama, Akpororo, Lepacious Bose and Triple White will crack lovers’ rib during the night.

This year’s event is put together by JAFFY (Julius Agwu Foundation for Youth).
