The 2nd Armed Forces Para Military Karate Championships and Unarmed Combat Training will hold from 26-28 April at the National Stadium, Lagos.
Secretary General of the Karate Federation of Nigeria, KFN, Clement Iyaluegbeghe said the aim of the training is to discover talents from the Nigerian military.
According to him, “there are young men and women in Nigerian military who can win laurels for the country. They are good athletes by the nature of their training, and Karate is not new to them because it is one of their disciplines at the academy.
“That is why we want to organise a programme for them with the aim of identifying the talented ones among them who can represent Nigeria at international competitions,” said Iyaluegbeghe.
