Nigerian forward Joseph Akpala seems bent on getting back to the limelight as he has shown with his performances for Belgian side Club Brugge in the past two weeks.
The out of favour Super Eagles player has been banging in goals for his club. He scored the third goal in the 60th minute for his side on Sunday evening in their 3-1 away victory against AA Genk.
Club Brugge currently lie in third place with 46 points, seven adrift of table leaders, Anderlecht.
After many months of being frozen out of the Super Eagles, Akpala will hope that his recent form could earn him a positive consideration by coach Stephen Keshi.
