All workers of Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN, led by Monzor M. Musa, president of their workers union, Joe Ajaero, general secretary and other executives of the union commenced a prayer session nationwide today.

The workers’ union president and other executives are presently in Abuja for the capital city’s prayer programme.

The prayer session was scheduled ahead of a proposed meeting slated for 18 February, 2012 in Abuja with the Federal Government to deliberate on the final pay off of PHCN workers as the government was poised to privatise PHCN.

Against this backdrop, PHCN workers are praying that if the Federal Government must send them away, their entitlements should be paid in full.
