Second placed team, Ikorodu West FC will have their hands full when they take on Oshodi Isolo FC at Strong Tower pitch tomorrow by 4 p.m.
Ikorodu West need the three points at stake from the crucial match to move closer to winning the league trophy as anything less will hamper their chances.
The Oshodi side can only hope for a top four finish this league season. They won their last match against Surulere, a side that had recorded a series of losses to Oriade and Apapa Golden Stars.
The results have seen them slipped down the log to the fifth place. Oshodi’s win over last season’s champions in tomorrow’s match will surely boost their rediscovered momentum.
Meanwhile, old rivalry will be rekindled when Mosan Okunola take on arch rivals, Oriade FC at the LASU playground on Sunday evening.
Oriade side narrowly edged out Mosan Okunola’s Marvellous Babes in their encounter last season.
Mosan Okunola will be on a revenge mission and with the league’s trophy in their sight, there is no doubt that there will be extra motivation to secure the three points from the tie.
Oriade FC will relish the opportunity to throw a spanner in the works of Mosan as a defeat will mean the title is out of their reach.
