Robber Gunned Down At Govt House

Security operatives at Ogun State Governor’s office at Oke Mosan, Abeokuta this morning foiled a robbery attempt by a three-man gang. One of them was killed while the other two escaped, reports Abiodun Onafuye in Abeokuta

The incident which happened at the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology led to a traffic gridlock on all the roads that lead to the state secretariat as people ran for their lives.

P.M.NEWS gathered that the robbers stormed the secretariat at about 9.50 a.m. today.

They drove in a black Quest Nissan car with registration number Abuja BR 944 RSH. They attempted to steal a new Toyota Camry car marked AKM 146 AA which, according to investigation, was bought two days ago. But the security gadget installed in the car has a remote control which raised the alarm.

All the gates leading to the Governor’s Office were then shut immediately. The three robbers made attempt to escape when they abandoned their car and drove the new car away, police and other security men shot them as they pulled down the main gate of the Secretariat. One of them was killed while two escaped with bullet wounds.
