Nigerian striker, Ike Uche was on target twice on Sunday for his club, Granada as they thrashed Real Sociedad 4-1 in a Spanish La Liga game.

Uche, who came in the second half of the match for his compatriot, Odion Ighalo, wasted no time to make an impact in the tie.

He netted his brace in the 61st and 87th minutes of the match.

The former Real Zaragoza player, however, failed to register his first hat-trick of the season as he could not convert other scoring chances he had during the pulsating match.

There is no doubt that Uche’s current form will excite coach Stephen Keshi, who will be looking forward to him repeating this performance when the Super Eagles’ camp opens for the Nations Cup qualifier against Rwanda.

Uche is one of the 11 foreign-based players invited by Keshi for the qualifier slated for 29 February, 2012 in Kigali.
