Itire Ikate LCDA football team got back to their winning ways over the weekend with a 6-0 mauling of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA football team in one of the Lagos Junior League matches played during the weekend at the Onikan Stadium.
Itire Ikate were on the rampage as Ikechukwu Azu, Uku Williams, Salisu Yaro, Uche Igwe all scored a goal, while Chukwudi Adalumo got a brace.
In another encounter played at LASU Pitch, Ojo Y.M.D. Babes were held to a 1-1 draw by Lagos Island Eko Akete United.Ikoyi Obalende suffered 1-3 loss to Bariga Academical Bombers as Ajeromi Ifelodun walked over their close neighbours Ifelodun LCDA 3-0.
Niyi Odunlade and Chibuzor Dim’s goals were all Ikorodu West FC needed to earn a 2-1 victory over Oshodi FC. The victory will help Ikorodu West to contest for the Premier League trophy this season.
In a related development, Lagos Island East narrowly edged out Onigbongbo during their encounter at the Campos mini stadium on Saturday. A 68th minute strike through Nurudeen Ismaila sealed victory for Lagos Island to emerge winners of the pulsating encounter watched by hundreds of fans.
