Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan has appealed for loyalty from subordinates to their bosses.

He said that by so doing the subordinates will be well rewarded by their bosses and God.

He averred that the virtue of thanksgiving though not common in some individuals is well appreciated by God.

The governor was speaking during the Thanksgiving/Reception Service held at the Christ Foundation Ministry, Sapele, Delta State, last Sunday in honour of the Commissioner representing the Itsekiri Nation in the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Michael Diden (aka Ejele).

He described Diden as his very sincere and loyal political son through whom God is performing wonders in the lives of many, adding that God would do more in his life as he has shown appreciation for the little He did for him.

In his words of appreciation, Diden described Governor Uduaghan as a man well loved by God. He said he was compelled to show his appreciation to the governor so as not to dampen his morale.

“If a person is helping you to get on in life and you are not showing appreciation his spirit would be dampened,” he asserted.

He stressed that going by the Biblical meaning of his name, Emmanuel (God is with us) anybody fighting the governor is fighting God and the repercussion would be terrific.

In her sermon, Rev. (Mrs.) Shine Edafe, a top official of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Delta State branch, admonished that people should always show thanksgiving for anything God does in their lives.

She said that “anybody that thanks God for whatever He has done for him is doing that in expectation of more.”

The programme was witnessed by top politicians, political office holders and a horde of members of socio-cultural groups in the state.
