Chief Coach of Super Eagles, Stephen Keshi says England-based players like Osaze Odemwinge, Victor Moses, Yakubu Aiyegbeni and Taiye Taiwo, invited for the 2013 Nations Cup qualifier against Rwanda would arrive in Abuja on Sunday.
Keshi told P.M.Sports in Abuja that Joseph Yobo, captain of the team has also promised to arrive camp on Saturday, while the duo of Ikechukwu Uche and Vincent Enyeama will jet in on Monday by 5am.
“Most of the players have called to tell me of their arrival dates,” he said.
“Dickson Etuhu and Joel Obi are also expected on Sunday, while Yobo told me he would be in Abuja on Saturday. Ike Uche and Vincent Enyeama will join the team on Monday evening.” Keshi said.
He further disclosed that all the foreign-based players must train with the team on Monday to have a feel of the hot weather in Abuja ahead of the clash in Kigali, which will be played under harsh weather of 1.30pm Rwandan time.
“Hopefully, the players will adjust to the weather in Kigali.”
The team will depart Abuja for Kigali same Monday by 11pm in a chartered flight 48 hours before the encounter.
