Dolphins’ attacking midfielder, Azeez Shobowale, will return to the pitch against Sharks on Matchday 11 in a Port Harcourt derby tomorrow.

Shobowale cupped an ankle injury at Dolphins’ domestic Matchday 7 against Gombe United in the Garden City.

The aching leg ensured he did not join his teammates in the successful CAF Champions League campaign in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea against Sony Ela Nguema at the weekend.

Shobowale told SuperSport.com that he is fit and would be available for selection against hosts, Sharks, at the weekend.

“I am fully fit for the game against Sharks. I’ve been certified fit, I’m back to training and what a better way to return to action than the local derby against Sharks.

“I’m ready for selection and given the nod by the coaches. I will surely give my best,” he said.

The former ABS man is positive the domestic champions will overrun Sharks at their ground.

“Dolphins are in high spirits, our confidence has been boosted by the massive win in Malabo and the urge to win is ever high.

“Surely, it will be tough but we are going to smile at the end of the game.”

Shobowale said Nguema’s CAF Champions League campaign has come to an end.

“They ended their campaign in Malabo, coming here will be mere formality,” he said.

“They will be trounced comprehensively in Port Harcourt,” he said.

The Nigerian representatives won the first leg 3-0 in Malabo.
