The Nigeria Wheelchair Basketball Federation, NWBF, has called on the National Sports Commission, NSC, and the Lagos State Local Organising Committee of the National Sports Festival to approve wheelchair basketball as an event for the games.

President of the NWBF, Bukola Olopade, said in Asaba, Delta State, that the federation had commenced move to ensure that the sport is featured as point event during the sports festival in November.

“If the sport is approved for the NSF, it will be a great joy for the athletes. This is because the sport has been exhibited in the last three editions of the festivals,” Olopade said.
