“Africa has over 40 countries and a large number of women who are unique and different in their own individual ways. Women from all walks of life tend to face a lot of challenges in today’s society and we feel it is time this is recognised, hence why we are launching Women for Africa Awards to celebrate and encourage African women,” said Angelou.

Meanwhile, the audition for the Stella Damasus Arts Foundation (SDAF) will hold this Wednesday, 29 February, 2012 at KOGA Entertainments, Oregun, Ikeja Lagos.

The participants that make it through the audition will later meet with Stella Damasus on 1 March at Dream Factory Studio, Alausa Ikeja, for the final round of the audition which would determine whether or not they will make it to the foundation’s academy for a three-month free training in acting, singing and visual arts.
