Nigeria Premier League: Heartland Beef Up Squad

Cup holders, Heartland have signed former Enyimba goalkeeper, Chijioke Ejiogu popularly called Arugo Monkey.

Ejiogu joins the Naze Millionaires as a free agent and on a one-year deal, SuperSport.com can report.

Ejiogu was one of several top players released by two-time Caf Champions League winners, Enyimba before the start of this season.

The goalkeeper has been signed on by Heartland to strengthen their playing personnel as they prepare for this year’s Caf Confederation Cup.

Ejiogu will, however, battle for the number one position with Daniel Akpeyi, who has been in tremendous form this term for the Naze Millionaires.

Heartland will also vie for the NPL and the Federation Cup, which they won last year.
