Coca-Cola’s New Promo To Produce 70 Millionaires

Beverage giant , Coca-Cola Nigeria, is once again providing a cushion for its consumers. The company’s latest nationwide consumer reward programme, tagged “Open & Win promo,” will give out a grand prize of N1million cash daily to one lucky consumer for the next 70 days, Airtime ranging from N100 to N1,000 is also up for grabs. The promotion, which takes place from 28 February to 10 May, 2012, is open to all consumers above the age of 13 years and applies to Coca-Cola, Fanta, Sprite and Schweppes brands of soft drinks..

Speaking at the launch at the Abora-Mazonia Hall, Eko Hotel Towers and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, Marketing Director, Coca-Cola Nigeria Limited, Austin Ufomba, said: “The ‘Open & Win’ promo is another avenue for us to thank and reward our consumers across the country and to make a difference in their lives in these challenging times. Coca-Cola is about happiness and we take every opportunity such as this promo to spread doses of happiness among our consumers.”

Explaining the promo’s mechanics, Ufomba said: “All a consumer needs do is buy a 35cl or 50cl bottle of Coca-Cola, Fanta, or Sprite or a 29cl bottle of Schweppes, look under the special white crown to see a number. This number is unique to individual corks as no two crown corks have the same number. The number should be sent via a text message to a special short code: 33665 to qualify for the daily raffle draw. Winners will be notified via SMS.”

Brand Manager, Coca-Cola Nigeria Limited, Toyin Nnodi, explained that consumers could enter as many times as they wish as long as they enter a new code each time. The SMS costs N10 and is open to subscribers of MTN, Glo, Airtel, Etisalat and Visafone. Winners of the daily airtime will have their phones virtually topped–up by their network providers while winners of the daily N1 million cash prize will get a phone call from Coca-Cola Nigeria and will need to show their winning SMS and bottle crowns to claim their prizes. They will be presented with their cheques at the Nigeria Bottling Company office closest to them.”

Also unveiled at the launch were beautifully-designed posters, well-crafted radio and television advertisements for the promotion. The posters feature popular musician, Banky W, the official ambassador of the promotion. Nnodi explained why the crooner was chosen for the task.

“Banky W’s music has put so much happiness into the hearts and home of Nigerians. His positive energy and cool attitude are attributes that the Coca-Cola brand readily identifies with. We are happy to have him assist us in putting big smiles on our consumers’ faces,” she said.
