3SC top scorer, Osaguona Ighodaro, is excited with his performance in the Nigeria Premier League.

Ighodaro is making an impressive show in the blue and white colours of 3SC in his Premier League debut, after a cameo appearance in the Republic of Benin, where he played for Parakou-based Buffles in the elite class.

The forward scored his first road trip goal at Lobi Stars, which has taken his tally to four, this term. Ighodaro had earlier scored against Sharks, Sunshine Stars and Ocean Boys, respectively, in front of Ibadan fans.

“It’s good to move gradually into the first team since it will afford me more opportunities to score goals for 3SC.

“I’ve come from the bench to score vital goals, but I’m working hard to start matches,” he told SuperSport.com.

Although his goal at Lobi Stars remains important to him since it earned his side a precious away point, the forward picked the goal against Ocean Boys as his best this term.

“My ambition is to score more goals for 3SC because the club gave me a chance to play in Nigeria and also to play for the national team.

“I decided to return home to make an impact and it’s all going well now,” he said to SuperSport.com.

Ighodaro played grassroots football before his adventure with Buffles in neighbouring Benin Republic, last year.
