UAC Sells Off Properties Nationwide

The management of United Africa Company of Nigeria, UAC, has begun a nationwide sale of properties of its subsidiary company, Mr.Bigg’s.

In an advertorial placed in one of the national newspapers, the management of the company stated that the sale of the properties was due to a recent review of its operations.

According to the advertorial, after the review, items such as generators, furniture, food preparation equipments, vehicles, spare parts and other equipment were declared surplus in various business unit and marked for sale.

The affected Mr. Bigg’s business units include Oregun and Adeniyi Jones in Lagos; Sango Ota, Ogun State; Challenge, Ibadan; Ibrahim Taiwo Road, Ilorin; C.K. Adesida Road and Pizza shop, Akure; Okigwe and Port Harcourt Road, Owerri; Sanni Abach, Omoku and Azikiwe Road, Port Harcourt; Opara Avenue, Aba and Sapele Road, Benin.

Others are Airport and Udu Road, Warri; Patani Road, Ughelli; MD Logistics and Utako Road, Abuja; Oturkpo Road, Makurdi; Bama Road, Maiduguri; Gowon Road, Kaduna and Minna Road, Suleja.

According to the advertorial, specific items slated for sale in the affected business unit includes food processing machines, air conditioners, chairs, tables, Toyota Hilux and Isuzu Tiger pick up vans, trucks, trailers, cars, cold room panels, underground safe, oven, deep freezers, water heaters and Television sets.

Some items in the company’s Swan liaison office and water factory in Jos were also listed for sales.

The sales procedure is through bid and UAC management urged interested buyers to address their bid to the chairman, asset sales committee in Lagos.
