VIP Padfootball Tourney: Adeyemi Dedicates Victory To Family, Friends

Mathew Adeyemi has dedicated his victory in the final of VIP Padfootball Educational Championship to friends and parents, who gave him support throughout the championship.

Adeyemi defeated Taye Aderibigbe 6-2 in the game of two sets that was watched by hundreds of spectators at the RV Unique event centre,Tabon-Tabon, Agege, Lagos.

Adeyemi described the final as the toughest game he played in the championship.

He said that he won the game because of the support he got from his friends and family members, who came to watch the final.

“I want to dedicate this victory to my fans and all the members of my family who supported me throughout the competition. I also want to thank the sponsors for their contributions to the success of this championship,” he said.

The leading sponsor of the championship, who doubles as proprietor of Lagooz School, Otunba Folorunso Otubela, expressed satisfaction with the success of the tourney and promised to do more in subsequent editions.

Adeyemi received a laptop and free GCE, NECO and WASCE forms, while the first runner up went home with GCE, NECO and WASCE forms.

Match Coordinator, Dipo Liadi, told P.M. Sports that the second edition of the Padfootball Educational Championship will hold in May.
