Wusu Football Club, Idiroko Owode, and Togo Football Club of Sango-Otta,Ogun State, will trade tackles in the final of Vanguard Sports Promotion tagged ‘VSP, Football Championship’ on Sunday.
The final match will hold at the Army Old Brarracks, Owode, Idiroko, Ogun State.
On their way to the final,Wusu FC handled by Coach Tunde Oyebande, beat Embassy FC Atan 3-1, defeated Bright Stars, Owode 3-1 and walloped Bill World FC 4-1 in the last match of the preliminary round. They, also had a smooth run over Authentic FC of Igbesa in the semi final tie that ended 3-1.
On the other hand, Togo FC beat Young Stars, Owode 4-2 in their first match of the tourney. They were held to a 2-2 draw in the second match of the preliminary round and played 2-0 against Ultimate FC in the last match in the group stage. Their semi final match was a one sided affair, as they routed Bright Stars 6-0.
Speaking ahead of the final cracker, Wusu FC’s coach, Oyebande, said that his team would leave nothing to chance to maintain their unbeaten run in the tournament, adding that their opponents should forget winning the match.
Coach Oyebande thanked God for giving his team the grace to qualify for the final and assured their fans that they would settle for nothing but to win the trophy come Sunday.
