The second edition in Nigeria,of the annual Toyota Dream Car Art Contest organised by Toyota (Nigeria) Limited for primary and secondary school students ended with two candidates emerging as winners of the contest in Nigeria.The contest held across the six geo-political zones of Nigeria from the last quarter of 2011to first quarter of this year.
The two finalists converged at the head office of Toyota (Nigeria) Limited with their parents and guardians to receive their certificates of participation from the Managing Director, Mr. Chandrasheker K. Thampy and other officials of the company.
In addition to the certificates, they also received prizes such as water purifiers and Toyota branded gifts that will make memories of the moment linger.
The Toyota Dream Car Art Contest, an initiative of Toyota Motor Corporation, Japan, holds annually all over the world cutting across 3 different categories viz: Category one: Children under 10 years, Category 2: Ages 10 to 12 and Category 3: Ages 13 to 15. For any entry to be adjudged good for the world final, which holds in Japan, it must have fulfilled environmental friendliness, safety and futuristic requirements.
The two winning entries from Nigeria (Wesey Joshua Oyeoluwaniyi and Bankole Olabode) had since been forwarded to Japan to contest with other successful entries from other parts of the world. Ultimately, the overall winner in each category will have the opportunity to travel to Japan to attend the award ceremony.
