A member of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, Hakeem Adegbenga Onasoga has appealed to the state government to rehabilitate three primary schools in Ijebu-Ode which are deplorable condition.

In an interview with P.M.NEWS, Hakeem called for urgent intervention of the government to save the schools he identified as Muslim Primary School 1, Isoku, Ijebu-Ode; Muslim Primary School 2, Maberu Isoku and Emmanuel Primary School, Italupe, Ijebu-Ode, from total collapse.

He called on the state Commissioner for Education to visit the schools to appreciate the gravity of what he was saying. “Cracks have opened up in the walls of the classrooms in the schools; the roofs are falling, there are no benches and desks for pupils to sit. The roofing sheets have also seen better days and are leaking,” Hakeem, who is planning to contest for councillorship position in the area, stated.

He appealed to Governor Ibikunle Amosun to do something urgent about the deplorable conditions of the schools to prevent total collapse.
