Barely two weeks after launching the Asha range of phones, Nokia has begun a rap competition aimed at creating excitement among youths and rewarding them as well.

The freestyle rap competition, known as the Nokia Don’t Break the Beat Competition will run in four centres —Lagos, Abuja, Enugu and Benin. The finalists that emerge in each centre will perform at the grand finale in Lagos.

The Solutions Marketing Manager, Nokia-West Africa, Kesiena Ogbemi said the initiative connects the youths to their Passion. Nokia Asha phones are messaging devices produced with full QWERTY keypad for quick and easy text input yet quite affordable. The Asha range is available at the very affordable prize of mobile phones but imbued with the distinct features of smart phones.
