The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, have arrested 87 fake corps members camped in a guest house in Nasarawa, Nasarawa State, Northcentral Nigeria by a cartel.
P.M.NEWS gathered that the 87 fake corps members were camped in a guest house along Shehu Shagari Way in Nasarawa Local Government by a syndicate that specialised in recruiting people into the camp.
When the NSCDC got wind of the illegal operation of a National Youth Service Corps camp different from the original one located in Keffi area of Nasarawa State, its men from Abuja headquarters were dispatched to the area.
It was learnt that one of the operators of the fake NYSC camp simply identified as Chinedu was one of the 87 suspects arrested at the guest house.
Other patrons of the fake NYSC camp managed to escape.But the 87 suspects arrested at the scene of the crime were about being take to a court in Keffi where the state headquarters of NYSC is located. Contacted, the Public Relations Officer, PRP of the NSCDC Mr. Okeh Emmanuel confirmed the arrest.
