Shooting Stars Sports Club, 3SC of Ibadan, Oyo State face a stern test as they confront Kano Pillars at the Sani Abacha Stadium this evening.
The good news for the Oluyole Warriors is that U-23 Eagles’ goalkeeper Dele Ajiboye, who has been sidelined by a knee injury, has returned and hopes 3SC get at least a draw from the game.
“I have been out of the team due to a knee injury, but thank goodness, I am back now and will do my best against Pillars to prevent them from scoring goals. We will do our best to win the match or at least get a draw. It will be tough but we know what is ahead of us. We are ready for the battle,” Ajiboye said.
Pillars could put more pressure on Nigeria Premier League, NPL leaders Rangers if they beat 3SC and the Enugu team fail to get a result at Gombe.
Pillars are third on the table with 23 points, while Rangers remain top of the standings with 26 points despite slipping 2-0 at Sunshine Stars last weekend.
Rescheduled Week 3 matches will take centre stage Wednesday across the country.
