Dodge has added another vehicle to the list of cars drivers should keep an eye out for if they’re speeding, the Dodge Durango Special Service. Available for police, fire and “general fleet” customers, the Chrysler Group said it would begin taking orders now, with delivery expected in the second quarter of this year.

The SUV will be available with either a Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 or a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 and comes with upgraded brakes, a heavy-duty battery, a 220-amp alternator, a heavy-duty water pump and an engine-oil cooler to help keep things cool while officers sit in the median and use radar guns to check motorists’ speeds. Despite the rigors of public service, the Durango will have a five-year, 100,000-mile powertrain warranty that is fully transferable.
