Exercise Your Body For Healthy Life — Bamigbetan

The chairman OF Ejigbo Local Coucil Development Area Of Lagos State, Kehinde Bamigbetan has advised residents of the council to cultivate the habit of exercising their body regularly, as a way of maintaining good health.

Bamigbetan gave the advice during the monthly ‘Jog for Life Fitness’ exercise initiated by the council at the weekend .

He said “This exercise which is the first of its kind in this council area, is the initiative of the special adviser for health, Mrs Yemisi Alashe and from now on, the exercise will take place every second Saturday of the month”.

He added that as from the next edition of the exercise, more people will be involved to participate in the jogging for fitness exercise.

The council chief enjoined all those who participated In the exercise to make it a point of duty to encourage people around them to exercise their body regularly.

Bamigbetan explained further that his participation in the exercise is a demonstration of the fact that, if out of his busy schedule, he can still find time to exercise his body, then, nothing stops other residents from exercising regularly.

He added that his administration would continue to look for ways to encourage sporting activities in the council area by providing enabling environment for the youths.

At the end of the exercise, which took off at the council secretariat and was rounded off inside Ejigbo mini stadium, the Chairman inspected sporting facilities at the stadium and assured the youths inside the basketball court that his administration would support them by providing necessary facilities, required to make them excel in the game of basketball.

Those who participated in the exercise with the chairman include all the council’s supervisors and councilors, the medical officer for the council Dr. Michael Ariyibi, the council information officer Mr Rabiu Hassan, NULGE officials , community leaders and youths In the council area .
