O. O. Obu Celebrates Abba Father Week

Thousands of members of Olumba Olumba Obu, a popular Christian sect with headquarters in Calabar, would in the first week of April descend on Calabar for a one week celebration of what the sect calls “Abba Father Week” at its world headquarters, 34, Ambo Street, Mbukpa, Calabar.

The celebration, according to His Holiness, Leader Olumba Olumba Obu, would unravel the hevenly mysteries which have long been hidden from mankind.

“This is a highly spiritual event which God the Father in His infinite wisdom has ordained and directed that it be celebrated to unravel some of the heavenly mysteries to mankind,” he said.

Speaking through two of his Bishops and a senior Deaconess, Bishop Winston Nkanda, Bishop Akpanah and Senior Deaconess Davis Notridge, Olumba Obu declared that the programme scheduled for the 2nd to the 9th of April would bring everlasting and unquantifiable blessings from God as preparations for the programme has since been on with daily fasting, prayer and meditation on the word of God. “Mankind is fortunate to witness this highly divine programme that is intended to mark the beginning of an end to the inglorious and calamitous epoch as the reign of evil on earth is coming to an end for the reign of God’s eternal glory and dominion”.

Olumba Obu warned that the event is intended to serve as a final warning to those whom he said have all along been perpetrating evil and trampling on the rights of the children of God.

“This event is also intended to serve as a final warning to those who had all along been trampling on the rights of the children of God irrespective of where they are located in the universe as God will not hesitate to pass judgment on the oppressors of less privileged ones”.

He also warned those whom he said have been masquerading as men and women of God and causing unsuspecting children of God to derail from the path of truth and rectitude through their false teachings, sermons, practices, and conducts to stop.

“Those who have been manipulating the psychological disposition of the children of God through their evil powers in the name of religion should know that this is pay back time”.

His Holiness Olumba Obu said that the suffering in the world is attributable to the stubbornness of people and refusal to heed the word of God.

“The socio-economic woes in the world and abysmal political performance by leaders is a consequence of stubbornness and refusal to acknowledge, recognise and worship the true God”.

He said highlight of the programme would be the presentation of the Abba Father Anthem by 3,500 choristers, presentation of gifts to orphanage, and motherless babies’ homes.

Bishop Akpannah from Ghana called on Nigerians to recognise Olumba because in Ghana the Asantehene and the President have respect and recognition for His Holiness.
