Ogun To Punish Erring Residents During Sanitation

The Ogun State Commissioner for Environment, Mr Adebayo Fari has warned that erring members of the public would be tried by the Environmental Mobile Court that will be drafted to all local government areas in preparation for Saturday’s monthly environmental sanitation exercise.

This month’s exercise holds between the hours of 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. throughout the state.

In a statement signed by the commissioner and made available to our correspondent in Abeokuta, the state capital, Friday, Fari said the Environmental Mobile Court would be out during the exercise to punish erring motorists and individuals found wandering during the period.

He urged all residents and corporate bodies in the state to clean their environment and ensure that the wastes generated during the exercise were properly disposed off at designated government approved dump sites.
