Katsina appoints new head of service

Governor Ibrahim Shema of Nigeria’s Katsina State has approved the appointment of Alhaji Lawal Aliyu as the new Head of Service.

A statement from the Governor’s Office signed by the Permanent Secretary, Special Services, Alhaji Abdu Ruma, in Katsina on Wednesday said Aliyu was the Permanent Secretary in the state’s Ministry of Finance, Budget and Economic Planning.

It said that the appointment, which took immediate effect, was in recognition of his outstanding qualities and performance exhibited over the years, in the service of the government and people of the state.
