3SC Host Enyimba In NPL

Enyimba International of Aba may compound the woes of Shooting Stars, 3SC of Ibadan when they trade tackles in a Week 19 tie of the Nigeria Premier League, NPL at the Adamasingba Stadium, Ibadan in Oyo State on Saturday.

The two-time African champions, Enyimba will try to turn the heat on the Oluyole Warriors, who are currently swimming in relegation waters.

The tie promises to be explosive considering the rivalry that exists between both clubs in the Nigeria Premier League.

The Oluyole side lost 2-3 to Rangers of Enugu in their last match in Enugu, while Enyimba played a 1-1 draw with Akwa United in Aba.

Victory for 3SC this weekend in Ibadan will move them out of the relegation zone.

3SC Assistant Coach, Busari Hakeem insists the team are not in the habit of playing mind games, but believes the team hold no fear for the Saturday’s home game against the highly rated Enyimba.

“We won’t underrate Enyimba at all. They are former league champions with good players. Anytime we face Enyimba, it always a cracker, more like a derby match. We are at home, so I have confidence in our fans and the players are much ready for the game”.
