Ayoola House Rule Manuels School Sports Day
After hostilities at the 1st Annual Biennial Inter-house Sports Competition of Manuel’s Private School, Ifako Ijaiye which was decided at the Agege Township Stadium Wednesday, it was Ayoola House that emerged overall champion.
The House won a total of 13 Gold, five Silver and eight Bronze medals.
The competition which saw lot of sporting talents on display was declared open by Chairman of the occasion, MD/CEO LANGOLD Microfinance Bank, Bunmi Ogunrinde as ballet dancers treated the teeming audience to a delightful performance.
Other events that took place include , Tiny Tots’ Race; Sack Race; Old Pupils; Sports Masters and Mistresses’ Race; 100m; 200m; 4 X 100m Relay Race, the Invitation Relay Race all in the Male and Female categories among others.
Ayegbusi House won a total of 10Gold, 10Silver and six Bronze medals to place second while Emozozo House came third after picking five Gold, 14 Silver and six Bronze medals. Ofulue and Aremo Houses came fourth and fifth respectively.
However, Ofulue House made up for their disappointing spot on the medals table by piping Ayoola House by just one point to win the Match Past event after impressing the judges with a stellar performance.
The award for the overall best athlete which was donated by former Flying Eagles Coach, Tunde Disu, was won by Abeng Samuel of Ayoola House.
