Music icon, Adewale Ayuba whose hi-tech instrumentation and distinct voice changed the face of Fuji music hitherto ignored by the Nigerian elite, is set to release a special album for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the man he describes as his mentor.

Ayuba, who recently returned from the United States of America, informed in a telephone chat that he would for ever be grateful to the former Governor of Lagos State, who has helped him greatly in his musical career.

“He was the Biblical Joseph sent to me during my four years sojourn in the United States, supporting me and my career. I regret not being around to witness his 60th Birthday but I’m working on an album for him as a way of appreciating him,” he said.

Ayuba anchors his Fuji vibes on two elemental forces-rhythms and the human voice, to create compelling, entrancing and powerful sound.

The man known for his frenzied dancing style and colourful costumes, exultant fans and enough talking drums and percussion, declared that this special album will be different and turn out to be ever green.

The artiste, we learnt, is also working on digital Fuji to be released soon and he is expected to visit Asiwaju next week after his Easter show.
