DSTV Basketball: Police Vow To Arrest Warrior
Coach of Police Baton Basketball Club of Lagos, Mark Balogun, has vowed to ‘arrest’ Dodan Warriors Basketball Club of Lagos ,by bringing their winning streak in the on-going DSTV sponsored 2011/2012 Nigeria Premier Basketball League to an end.
Balogun, who will lead the Police to the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos venue of the clash, said he has detailed his men to beat the Warriors in Sunday’s game.
The Coach Adeka Daudu-tutoured Warriors are yet to taste defeat in the domestic league this season. But, as they go into the mid-season with weekend matches, Balogun said they would be made to swallow the bitter pill of defeat.
Speaking ahead of both the clash Balogun said: “We are not scared of playing Warriors despite their unbeaten run so far this season. We know how to handle them and I promise you we’ll bring them down on Sunday.”
Other matches scheduled for this weekend in the Atlantic Conference include, Custom taking on Comets, Chariots will confront Union Bank, while defending champions, Royal Hoopers host Lagos Islanders at their base in Port Harcourt, all on Saturday.
