Armed Nigeria Air Force personnel this morning stormed the residence of General Danjuma Otaru (retd.) and evicted him and his household from his official quarters at GRA, Ikeja, Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria.
As the retired Air Force general and his family were rendered homeless, they were forced to pack out their household items including television sets, beddings, tables and clothing from the house.
When P.M.NEWS correspondent visited the area at about 9.30 a.m today, the items were scattered outside the house located on Adeyemo Alakija Street, GRA, Ikeja.
The street was also cordoned off by men of the Nigeria Air Force and passers-by and residents were not allowed to pass through that axis.
While the operation lasted, motorists and okada riders were also ordered to make use of the nearby street.
Efforts to contact General Otaru through his two phone lines proved futile as the calls did not go through.
