Oloto Cup Final: B-Unit Coach Rues Defeat

B-Unit Chief Coach, Adeboye Elijah, has attributed his team’s loss to Jokers Stars F.C in the final of U-19 Buari Oloto Cup.

B-Unit FC suffered a 2-4 loss in the encounter played on Sunday at the Campos Sports Centre, Lagos Island.

Elijah said his team lost the match because his players failed to play to his instructions.

He said when score stood at 2-2, his team began to play out of position, which cost them the tie, adding that he won’t congratulate their opponents because they were not worthy champions.

“Our opponents don’t deserve the victory because we outplayed them. Had it been my players followed my instructions, we would have won the game but unfortunately we lost to an average team,” he said.

In his reaction, Jokers Star Coach, Joseph Azuka said his team were technically better than their opponents throughout the game.

Jokers Stars got the sum of N75,000 with a gaint trophy, while the first runner-up went home with N50,000.
