Apapa Golden Stars Upset Bridge Boys

A Lagos-based amateur side, the Apapa Golden Stars Wednesday defeated National League campaigners, Bridge Boys FC 8-7 in the on-going Lagos FA Cup football competition.

The Apapa Golden Stars, who were first runners up at the just concluded Lagos Junior League, gave a good account of themselves as they shocked their superior opponents, the Bridge Boys.

It was 2-2 at regulation time, but when the encounter was decided by penalty shootout, the Apapa Golden Stars showed the stuff in them, beating the Bridge builders at the end of the tension soaked encounter.
