One Year After Death: Family, Friends Honour Olubayo

A memorial service was held this morning at the Ebony Private morgue, Atan cemetery in honour of former Super Eagles defender, Adefemi Olubayo, who passed on exactly a year ago.

Some ex-internationals, friends and families of the Beijing 2008 silver medalist, numbering about 100 attended the service held to remember the late player at the Cemetary early Wednesday.

The service of songs was conducted by members of the Celestial Church of Christ, CCC, while the sermon of the day was delivered by Elder Adewora.

Adewora, while delivering his sermon implored the families of Olubayo to take heart from the untimely death of Adefemi, adding that God knows why he took away their loved one.

The sermist further advised the congragation to always thank God for whatever happens to them, saying ‘No one comes to this world that won’t leave one day’.

Member of Technical Committee of Nigeria Football Federation, Victor Ikpeba was a late arrival at the service.
