Lagos Wushu Kungfu Holds Tourney For Talent Hunt

Lagos Wushu Kungfu Association will hold the madien Eko Wushu Kungfu Talent Hunt Open Championship from today till Friday at Mobolaji Bank Anthony Sports Complex, Rowe Park, Yaba, Lagos State.

More than 300 athletes from various clubs in the state are expected to storm the talent hunt.

Chairman of the association, Lemmy Olusesan Akerele, said that the tourney is organised to discover talents for the state for the future, adding that the target of the association is to build a formidable Team Lagos in Wushu Kungfu.

“We are grateful to Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola and the Commissioner for Sports, Enitan Oshodi, for this laudable quarterly Inter-Clubs Championship.

“It is an open tourney where clubs come together to compete in a favourable environment,” said Akerele.

The Inter-Clubs Championship is facilitated by the Office of the Senior Special Assistant on Grassroots Sports Development to Governor Fashola with active collaboration with the Ministry of Sports and Social Development and the Sports Council.
