Joshua Agada

It appears that you started playing football quite early?

I started playing football at the age of four years, though I played street football before joining God’ s Favour Academy of Ajegunle at the age of eight.

How whas it been?

I joined the club two years ago and I thank God that things are working well for me.

You have not won any trophy for the academy, why?

Well, there is no cup to show for now, but we reached the semi final stage of the Amuwo-Odofin U-13 football championship last year. We lost 0-1 to Romans Academy in the semi final, it was so painful.

How easy has it been to combine education with football, considering the fact that you are still in the primary school?

I don’t have problem with my education. But, I will like to thank my parents for their support towards my education and football career. My father wants me to play football, that’s why he’s always there for me.

How would your father feel if you don’t become a professional footballer in future?

My father won’t be happy with me. He has told me to take football as a career and not a hobby. That’s why I am doing everything within my powers to make it in the game.

Where do you want to start your professional football?

I would like to play for Lobi Stars of Makurdi in the Nigeria Premier League, NPL, before moving to Europe. I would also like to play for Manchester United in Europe. I love Manchester United because of the calibre of players in the club.

Moreso, the club have programmes for young players who want to play good football.

What are your plans for the future?

My ambition is to play for my country and become one of the best players in the world.
