Celebrate Me Underway

Omobukola Wellington, a hip-hop female gospel act, has concluded arrangements to drop her debut album christened Celebrate Me.

Buky, as she is called by friends and admirers, revealed that she began singing 15 years ago as a chorister at the Redeem Christian Church of God, Open Heaven parish, Alagbado, Lagos.

She also disclosed that she shares the same surname with Bankole Wellington famously called Banky W. and she looks forward to meeting him.

The Isale-Eko, Lagos State- born and Ibadan Polytechnic Secretarial Studies graduate stated that she decided to present her gospel music via hip-hop genre to win youthful souls for Christ.

Wellington said further that the 10-track Celebrate Me produced by Zakki Azzey contains tracks like Celebrate Me, the title track; Se Loba, Oluwa Mi, Never she and others and she looks up to Onyeka Onwenu as her role model.
