Man Watches As 2 Men Gang-Rape Girlfriend

Two friends Balogun Babatunde, 25, Farinto Saheed, 24, have been arrested by the police and charged to Apapa Magistrate’s court, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria, after they allegedly raped a 25-year old lady in the presence of her boyfriend in Ajegunle .

The men allegedly raped the victim along with their other friend identified as Benson now at large.

According to the prosecutor, Mrs. C. Olagbayi in the charge sheet, they not only raped the victim, but her boyfriend, Samuel Ukpo, was beaten and stabbed in the head.

The incident happened at Bale Street, Ajegunle, Lagos where both the victims and suspects reside.

P.M.NEWS gathered that the men forced themselves inside Samuel’s room, beat him up and forced him to stay in the room and watch them rape his girlfriend in turns.

After the dastardly act, the matter was reported at Ajeromi Police Station and they were arrested and charged to court for assault and rape.

They pleaded not guilty when the charge was read to them.

The presiding Magistrate, Mrs. C. Adelaja granted them bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.

The matter was adjourned till 21 May 2012 while they were remanded in prison custody at Apapa, Lagos pending when they meet their bail conditions.
