‘Why Dolphins Lost In Bauchi’
Dolphins’ Manager, Stanley Eguma, has blamed his team 1-2 loss to Wikki Tourists of Bauchi as result of bad officiating.
Nigeria Premier League NPL champions, Dolphins, missed the chance to go top of the table as they lost 1-2 to Wikki Tourists in a rescheduled game played on Wednesday at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, Bauchi.
Eguma, who was not happy with the outcome of result, said apart from bad officiating meted to his team, his players were also tired before the match which gave the home team added advantage.
“The officiating was not good but my boys also lost concentration. The players were very tired because we arrived in Bauchi just a few hours to the game. We had to spend the night in Enugu before completing the journey by road,” Eguma told SuperSport.com.
Dolphins would have gone top of the table if they had avoided defeat in Bauchi but the reverse sees the Port Harcourt side stay in 3rd place with 32 points from 19 matches.
Wikki move up four places and are now 9th on the log with 28 points from 19 matches.
