473 Motorcyclists Face Trial

The Kano State Police Command has prosecuted 473 motor cyclists for violating various traffic offences especially the order on them to stay off the road by 06:00 p.m.

ASP Magaji Majia, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that all the arrests were made in Kano metropolis.

He disclosed that the offenders were arrested and prosecuted within the past two weeks, assuring that the exercise would be continuous.

According to him, the exercise is aimed at safe-guarding people’s lives and property as well as combating crimes.

Majia stressed the need for the offenders to desist from violating laid down rules and regulations for peace to reign.
