Lagos FA Cup: Yobo, Kelly Land In Q/Final

Yobo Football Club, owned by skipper of the Super Eagles, Joseph Yobo and Kelly Football Academy have landed in the Quarter-Finals of the on-going Lagos State FA Cup competition.

Yobo FC defeated Awori United by 6-5 penalty kicks after it ended one goal apiece at regulation time at the newly refurbished Agege Stadium.

Kelly Football Academy subdued their arch rivals, Stanley Global Football Club by 3-0 at Onikan Stadium. Defending champion and National League campaigners, First Bank Football Club will today face Young Stars FC at the Agege Stadium. Bolowotan FC will battle giant killers, Apapa Golden Stars; Fame FC will also keep a date with AS Rascine FC on Wednesday at the Legacy Pitch, National Stadium, Surulere.

Meanwhile, Union Bank Football Club of Lagos will on Thursday slug it out with God’s Own Revelation, just as Splendid FC takes on C.O.D. United Football Club in the Round of 16 of the competition.
