Nigeria Police: Captured Bomber from another state

Nigeria’s Kaduna Police Command said the arrested bomber that was captured by vigilant members of the public today in Kaduna after bombing the building housing Thisday, The Sun and Moment newspapers on Ahmadu Bello Way by Kotangora Road is facing investigation at the police headquarters.

Speaking to P.M.News few hours after the bomb blast occurred, Kaduna Police Commissioner, Mohammed Jinjiri Abubakar disclosed that the police will ensure that it got all necessary information from the bomber that would lead to further arrest of his sponsors.

According to Abubakar, from what the police have gotten so far, “the suicide bomber is a stranger from another state, but I will not tell which state for now”.

However, the police commissioner thanked the members of the public for their vigilance and ability to apprehend the bomber after he suspiciously drove speedily into the premises of the building of the media houses in Kaduna today at about 12 noon.

‘’It is rather an unfortunate incident and we will want to first appreciate members of the public for their vigilance and for their prompt action. It is based on their vigilance and prompt action that really helped the situation and helped us get the principal suspect that is now with us receiving treatment at the Police clinic’’.

However, while acknowledging that efforts of the public who helped to reduce the impact and prevent devastation of the environment, Abubakar called on the members of the public to continue to be vigilant to further help tackle the bombings across the state and Nigeria.
