“The international friendly match against Peru will be a good test for the Super Eagles. The senior national team of Peru are ranked as one of the greatest national teams in the world at the moment,” noted Ekpo.
He added: “This international friendly with Peru will help the Super Eagles a lot; the players need to play high-profile friendly matches from time to time. Tha’s why I’m happy about the friendly because Peru is a great football playing nation.”
Ekpo is impressed about Keshi’s choice of featuring home-based Eagles since he took charge of the senior national team.
“I’m happy with the way Keshi is handling the team for the African Cup of Nations qualifying matches. I’m happy that he has given room for the home-based Eagles to express themselves alongside the foreign-based stars,” concluded Ekpo.
