ABS Coach Rues Worst Home Defeat

ABS coach, Kabir Dogo admitted that Sharks were superior to his wards in the club’s worst home defeat.

Sharks ran away with a massive 3-1 defeat of their hosts in midweek’s rescheduled Matchday 20 game at the llorin Township Stadium.

The llorin-based side consolation goal scored in the dying minutes of the game came through Andrew Abalogu.Dogo told SuperSport.com that they lost to a better side.

“Sharks deserved their win, they were clearly better than us,” he managed to voice out.

An official of the club, Alloy Chukwuemeka blamed the defeat on lack of fitness on the part of the players.

“We lost 1-3 to Sharks, this is the worst result in the history of the club. The players lacked fitness in the game, Sharks played better and deserved to win.

“We’ll meet the technical crew to sort things out, the defeat was more psychological.

“The same players went nine matches unbeaten in the first stanza, how will the same players show weakness before their opponents and right at their backyard?

“We’ve played three matches since the resumption of the second stanza with just a point to show for it.

“Something is wrong and the management will swing into action quickly to arrest the drop in form,” he lamented.
