Dada Ready For More Challenges

An upcoming female pugilist, Blessing Dada, has said that she is ready to take on any boxer within her weight category in furtherance of her budding career.

The JSS 2 student of Army Cantonement Secondary School last weekend at Rowe Park outpointed Amope Buari of Wahab Folawiyo Secondary School in an exhibition match at the 30th Monthly Saturday Boxing Show.

“I am ready to fight any boxer anytime as long as she falls within thesame weight category with me. I am a champion in the making and champions are not scared of anyone since they believe in themselves,” declared Dada.

Speaking on her chosen career, the young boxer opined that travelling out of the country in furtherance of her career will make her to have assess to standard training facilities.

“My desire at the moment is to travel abroad to further my boxing career. I like to go to a countries like the United States and Britain where l will be exposed to modern training facilities that will enhance my career,” said Dada.

She added: “I am ready to do anything in order to keep my boxing career alive because I don’t joke with whatever I make up my mind to do. That is why I feel going abroad to further my career will do me a lot of good.”

Commenting on her victory over Amope Buari, the young boxer said that she was happy that she did not disappoint her coach and family members.

“I feel great about the victory because it was a hard-earned one for me considering the fact that my opponent was taller than me. But I am happy that I didn’t let down my coach and my family members with the outcome of the fight.

“I told my parents before I left home for the fight that they should not panick because I would win the fight. You can see it in the face of my father that he was very happy that I kept my promise to him by winning the bout,” added Dada.
