Thirteen people died and six others were seriously injured on Monday when a bus and a car collided near Azare town, in Nigeria’s northern Bauchi state, a road safety official said.
“The two vehicles had a head-on collision in which 13 people died on the spot and six others were seriously injured,” Bauchi state head of the Federal Road Safety Commission, Zakariya Mamman, told AFP by telephone.
“The accident was caused by dangerous driving and speeding,” he said.
