Nigerian, Lebanese Killed; another Lebanese abducted

Kaduna Police Command today confirmed the killing of a Lebanese, and Nigerian engineer by gunmen suspected to be armed robbers at early Monday along Kakeyi Village in Zaria,Kaduna State.
The Lebanese was identified as Padi Ibrahim, while the Nigerian engineer was identified as Aliyu Nurudeen. Both worked for Mothercat Construction Company, handling a water project in Zaria.
The Police Command also confirmed the abduction of a Lebanese around the same village yesterday. The Lebanese whereabouts is yet unknown.
Aminu Lawan ,the Kaduna Police Public Relations Officer who disclosed this to P.M.News said the command has deployed experienced security personnel to the area to comb and fish out the gunmen.
According to a witness, the gunmen mounted an illegal road block and were robbing drivers and commuters at dawn on Monday, when they opened fire on the Toyota Hilux pick up conveying the Lebanese and the Nigerian engineer, believing the vehicle belonged to the police.
” After they realised that the shot vehicle was not that of the police , they stopped shooting but it was too late. The occupants of the vehicles ,the Lebanese and Nigerian had died”. He said.
The witness further narrated that the second Toyota Hilux behind the one shot was stopped. While the driver was thrown out, his Lebanese passenger, also a staff of Mothercat was whisked away.
